Curated Wine & Food Pairings at Deer Creek Winery
Every wine on our list, every oil in your dish, every balsamic in your dipping blend — all made on the estate. The Pairing Experience is what happens when one craft meets another and finishes the plate.
Three Crafts. One Plate.
Most wineries pair food with wine. We start earlier — by making three things from scratch, side by side, so each dish can be built around all of them.
Find Your Perfect Pairing
Every menu item is built around a specific Deer Creek wine. Here’s the full lineup — the same pairing notes you’ll see on the menu at both estate cafés.

since 2009
Rooted in Family. Built for Connection.
Deer Creek Winery began in 2009 with a leap of faith. What started on a fifth-generation family farm in Shippenville, Pennsylvania has grown into a destination for wine, food, and unforgettable moments. From our earliest days, we’ve believed wine is more than what’s in the glass — it’s about slowing down, gathering together, and celebrating life.
The Pairing Experience is what we’ve built to make that easy for everyone. Whether you’ve poured a hundred glasses or you’re just learning what you like, the pairing notes on our menu, the dipping blends on our table, and the staff at both of our cafés will guide you. Slow down, find your pairing, and enjoy the experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Deer Creek Pairing Experience?
It’s how we build every plate at our cafés. Each dish is made with our wines, olive oils, and balsamics — all crafted on-site at Deer Creek Winery — and each one is matched with the specific Deer Creek wine that brings out the best in it. The pairing notes appear right on the menu so you don’t have to guess.
Do I need to be a wine expert to enjoy it?
Not at all. The whole point of the Pairing Experience is that we’ve done the work for you. Order what looks good, follow the pairing note next to the menu item, and let the rest happen. If you’d rather have a guide, ask your server — they’ll walk you through everything.
Where can I try the Pairing Experience?
At both of our estate cafés: Brooks Estate Café in Shippenville, PA (our flagship property in Clarion County, near Cook Forest State Park) and Watson Estate Café in Uniontown, PA (in the Laurel Highlands, near Ohiopyle and less than an hour from Pittsburgh). Both are open to the public daily at 11 AM with no reservations needed.
Can I buy the wines, oils, and balsamics to take home?
Yes. Every wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, signature seasoning blend, wine salt, and snack mix featured in the Pairing Experience is available at our tasting rooms and online at the Deer Creek shop. The dipping blend on your table is the same one you can take home.
Is the Pairing Experience the same at both estates?
The pairing concept and the menu are the same at both Brooks and Watson Estates — same dishes, same pairings, same philosophy. The settings are different: Brooks is our flagship 100-acre property in Clarion County with a fireplace and vineyard views; Watson is a historic 45-acre estate in the Laurel Highlands surrounded by centuries-old buildings.
Is there a charge to participate in the Pairing Experience?
There’s no separate fee — the pairing notes are part of every café menu. Wine, food, and the take-home retail items are priced normally. If you’d like a curated wine flight to pair with snacks or a grazing plate, ask at the tasting room.
Can I host a private Pairing Experience event?
Yes. Both estates host private events, including pairing-focused dinners, bridal showers, and wine tasting parties. Contact our events team for available dates and pairing-menu options.
