Let us present a classic Deer Creek Winery favorite – Fawn Catawba. This semi-sweet blush fruit wine is one of our originals, a favorite of founder Rhonda Brooks and a hit with guests who enjoy something deliciously fruity, beautifully blushed, and perfectly porch-sipable. It’s pronounced kuh-TAW-buh (you’re not the only one who’s wondered!).

Fawn Catawba is a semi-sweet blush wine crafted from the Catawba grape, famous for its pretty-in-pink color and rose petal bouquet. Think of it as a sweet rose – light, fruity, and just sweet enough to sip on its own or with a light meal. It’s the glass you reach for as the sun sets, your feet go up, and the breeze is just right.

The name comes from the white-tail fawns who silently roam our vineyards in the cool of evening, adding tranquility to the natural beauty of our Shippenville estate. In 2022, we brought that inspiration to the label with a gorgeous design by Alabama artist Anna Callison, taken from an actual photo of the courtyard at Brooks Estate – our 100-acre property with twinkle lights, firepits, an intimate cafe, ceremony spaces, and 13 guest rooms you won’t want to leave.
