A Winery Café in the Heart of Clarion County

Looking for a relaxed lunch spot near Shippenville, Clarion, or anywhere in the rolling countryside of western Pennsylvania? The café at Deer Creek Winery’s Brooks Estate is the heart of our flagship property — a fifth-generation family farm turned wine country destination where guests come for the food, stay for the wine, and leave already planning their next visit.

Located steps from the tasting room and a short walk from The Inn and The Manor, the Brooks Estate Café opens daily at 11 AM. Pull up a seat by the fireplace on a cool afternoon, or take a glass of Shippenville Red out to the porch overlooking 100 acres of vineyard and forest. Whether you’re stopping in after a hike at Cook Forest, meeting friends for a slow lunch, or grounding yourself after a morning of wine tasting, the café is built for lingering.

Our menu is built around one idea: every dish is made with our wines, olive oils, or balsamics. The Signature Winehouse Brisket Sandwich gets its glaze from a wine reduction. The Rustic Twists are brushed with Tuscan herb oil. Enzo’s Empanadas come with our house balsamics on the side. Add in PA classics like the Vineyard Pepperoni Roll and Wedgies, our Signature Grazing Plate, and five different artisan pizzas — and you have a menu designed so every plate has a pairing waiting for it.

For travelers, the Brooks Estate Café is a convenient stop in Clarion County — close to Clarion University, Cook Forest State Park, and the scenic Clarion River. For locals, it’s the quiet midweek lunch, the weekend live-music spot, the place to celebrate without making a thing of it. Open to the public daily — no reservation needed.

What food pairs best with Deer Creek wines?

Every dish on our menu is built with a specific pairing in mind. The Signature Grazing Plate pairs beautifully with Watson Red, Shippenville Red, or Riesling. Our artisan pizzas and Vineyard Pepperoni Roll shine with Cabernet Sauvignon or Fawn Catawba. The Signature Winehouse Brisket Sandwich, with its mango glaze, is unbeatable with Blackberry Bling or Berry Wild Sangria. For dessert, try the Black Bear Brownie with Chambourcin. Ask your server — they’ll match anything on the menu to a wine.

Do you serve lunch at Deer Creek Winery?

Yes — the Brooks Estate Café opens daily at 11 AM. The menu includes our Signature Winehouse Brisket Sandwich, artisan pizzas, Wedgies (a Pennsylvania favorite), Enzo’s Empanadas, the House Chicken Salad Croissant, Harvest Salad, and a full lineup of shareables, desserts, and snacks.

Are there gluten-free options?

Yes — gluten-free crust is available on all our artisan pizzas for an additional $2. Just let your server know when you order.

Can I take any of your house-made items home?

Yes. Our snacks (Sweet & Savory Nut Duo, Sunset Harvest Trail Mix, Winehouse Bar Mix), signature seasoning blends, olive oils, balsamics, and wine salts are all available to take home. Ask your server or stop by the tasting room.
