This delightful wine was dreamt up through a company wide contest looking for the perfect name for this fantastic cherry wine we are bringing to market in 2025, and one of our Deer Creek Winery family right here in McCandless Crossing hit the nail on head with her suggestion: Charming Cherry! Debuted as a seasonal favorite in 2025, it’s been capturing hearts since the very first sip.
The label is a story itself — a hand-drawn scene by Alabama artist Anna Callison — of two people clinking glasses in front of a cozy fire. It’s a reminder to slow down, savor the moment and, as we say here, “love the wine you’re with.” Wherever you’re drinking this wine — during a romantic escape, girls’ night or just one of those quiet nights at home — it is painting the backdrop for connection and coziness.
At our Watson Estate and Brooks Estate locations, you find the same cozy charm, with fires crackling both outside across the property and inside in many of our rooms. Nothing says relaxation like cozying up next to your very own private fire and sipping on a glass of Charming Cherry— the soft sweetness pairing flawlessly with the warmth radiating from your fireplace and the laughter from good company.

7:42 AM – Stretch dramatically so the humans know I’ve had a very demanding night. 8:03 AM – Birdwatching. I glare. They chirp too loudly. It’s a whole thing. 9:15 AM – Sunbeam nap on the porch. Elite-level relaxation—do not disturb. 9:47 AM – Supervising humans carrying coffee, luggage, and occasionally questionable fashion choices. 10:30 AM – Perimeter patrol and estate strut. I walk like I own the place because, frankly, I do. 11:12 AM – Staff morale boosting: ankle weaving + purring = productivity up 63%. 12:26 PM – Adirondack Chair Inspection. I rotate chairs to ensure equal fluff distribution. No need to thank me. 1:30 PM – Leaf chasing (professional enrichment & cardio) 1:40 PM – Social Hour. Guests may pet me… if selected. Bribes of treats dramatically increase eligibility. 2:06 PM – Guest Escort Service. Walk guests to their car so they feel important. (They think they’re escorting me. Adorable.) 2:55 PM – The Zoomies. There is no explanation. You wouldn’t understand. 3:00 PM: Box inspection (jumping into any empty ones… for science) 4:10 PM – Outdoor paparazzi session. I model. Humans squeal. Everyone wins. 5:22 PM – Strategic, unsettling staring into the distance. Possibly at ghosts. Possibly at nothing. Keeps visitors on their toes. 6:05 PM – Dignified evening patrol + balancing on fun rocks for flair. Applause optional but appreciated. After Dark – Nighttime Secret Missions. Classified. You don’t have clearance. 🕶️
